Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj aren’t going to let something like an album release date get in the way of their friendship. The artists recently addressed Twitter fans who began to suspect the two were feuding, after learning their albums would be released on the same day.

Grande’s EP, “Sweetener” and Minaj’s album “Queen” are both scheduled to debut on Aug. 17. Fans went into a brief frenzy when the “Chun-Li” artist announced she would be delaying her initial Aug. 10 release date for an additional 7 days. Some fans began to suspect she was trying to compete with the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer.

On Wednesday, Grande replied to a fan who was attempting to calm down Arianators that believed Minaj moved her release date because she and Grande were no longer friends. “Jesus is this what’s going on today? imma jus stop logging in at all lmfao,” the “Dangerous Woman” singer tweeted.

Grande went on to explain why Minaj, who she referred to as her “sister,” pushed back her album date. “She’s clearing a sample. buy and stream queen & sweetener aug 17 bye. these numbers don’t mean as much to the artist as they do to y’all. jus want y’all to listen to the project,” the singer added.

The 25-year-old later tweeted, “me n nicki laughed at dat,” which resulted in a sweet reply from the “No Frauds” singer.

“I love this woman. Can’t wait for the fans to benefit from all the hard work on both ends. We love your passion. You guys will be VERY happy. Trust. That’s all I’ll say,” Minaj wrote.

Earlier in the week, Minaj asked fans to vote on whether she should delay “Queen” in order to clear the rights to a song sample by Tracy Chapman, or leave the song off the album and keep her Aug. 10 release date.

In the end, Minaj decided to clear the sample and push back her EP. This marks a second delay for “Queen,” which was supposed to be released on June 15. Prior to the scheduled release, the rapper revealed she needed extra time in order to ensure that each song on her fourth studio album was perfect.
