Are Beyoncé And JAY-Z Buying A Bigger House Than Kim Kardashian And Kanye West?
After years of searching, Beyoncé and JAY-Z may have finally found a place in California to call home. The couple has been wanting to base their family on the West Coast for quite some time and new reports state that they are in the process of purchasing a mansion.
Although the house is out of their rumored $80 million budget, the new home will give famous couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s abode a run for its money. On Wednesday, TMZ reported that a Bel-Air mansion that is not officially on the market has been quietly shopped around for an estimated $130 million.

There have been several figures floating around about the couple’s real estate budget and a source told People the performers are willing to more than $80 million. “They are absolutely on a budget. It’s an insane budget, but they are sticking to it. They don’t want to pay above $100 million,” an insider said.
According to the real estate grapevine, Beyoncé and JAY-Z are the buyers of the Bel-Air home. The house sits on 1.86 acres of land and boasts 30,000 square feet. The fully furnished 8 bedroom, 11 bathroom mansion comes with a spa, recording studio, basketball court, four pools and a paddle tennis court.
Sources told TMZ the home is currently in escrow but the amount of money that the couple has paid remains unclear. While one source said the couple is paying $90 million for the home, another insider claimed they are paying as much as $120 million.
Kardashian and West, who seem to be in an unspoken competition with the Carters, are in the process of completing their mega mansion in Hidden Hills, California. The couple, who brought the property back in 2014 for $20 million, has spent more than $10 million on renovations.
The 30,000 square foot mansion has 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a spa, a makeup room, a movie theater, a lake and has a state-of-the-art security system. The property, located in a gated community, also has a safe room, alarms, cameras and motion detectors.
Although security is a great concern for the West family, Beyoncé and JAY-Z are in a time crunch to buy a permanent home now that their twins, a boy and a girl, have arrived and their first born, daughter Blue Ivy, 5, is scheduled to start school in the fall.

“They are not moving from rental to rental because they enjoy it,” an insider explained. While the sale of the Bel-Air home has not been confirmed, for now, the Carters are staying a $400,000 a month, 10 bedroom, 14 bathroom rental property in Malibu, California until August.
The Villa marks the first home that Beyoncé and JAY-Z‘s twins will live in. Prior to news of the Bel-Air purchase, sources have said that the couple is still on the search for “the perfect house.”
