Are The Duggar Women Quitting ‘Counting On’? Family Blog Responds To Rumors
Rumor has it certain adults in the Duggar family aren’t too keen on being reality stars for much longer. However, it appears “Counting On” fans don’t have to worry about saying goodbye to the Duggars anytime soon.
Following a report from Life & Style which claimed several of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s offspring were looking to quit the TLC series, the Duggar Family Blog shared different findings.
“As we approach the eight episode of ‘Counting On,’ season two, the tabloids are circulating a rumor that the Duggar siblings are quitting reality TV,” the blog, written by friends of the devout family, wrote Monday. “Is it true? Not in the slightest. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s children have no plans to leave TLC.”
While the Duggar’s friends said the brood isn’t planning their TV exit, Life & Style had detailed claims about which Duggars were looking to part ways with fans. The magazine reported in their Oct. 3 issue that Jill Dillard was leading her sibling’s leave from the show in favor of doing more mission work, writing, “She’s done with the show and has told Michelle and Jim Bob she’s quitting.”
The publication also shared that bride-to-be Jinger Duggar and new business owner Jana Duggar were planning to exit the show with Jessa Seewald, one of the “19 Kids and Counting” spinoff’s main stars, looking to “break out” and get her own series.
“Jinger, too, wants to do her own thing and has said she’s leaving, while Jana has purposefully been appearing less and less on ‘Counting On,’” reads the report.
It looks like “Counting On” fans will have to wait and see if the series comes back for Season 3. TLC is currently airing Season 2 (Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT). The next installment will follow Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo as they plan their trip to New York City. Jeremy proposed in the Big Apple in July so viewers might be treated to the couple’s special moment in “The Big Event.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Jana will prepare her family’s guest home for Jill and her husband Derick Dillard’s return from Central America while Jessa’s husband, Ben Seewald, hosts a football youth camp.
