UPDATE: 10:16 p.m. EST -- A representative told Entertainment Weekly that Trainor and Puth are not dating. “They’re just friends,” the rep said.

Original Story: The 2015 American Music Awards had a few superstars teaming up, but none sparked more questions than Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth’s duet. The two sang a medley of “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” and “Marvin Gaye” at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Sunday night. They ended their duet with a long kiss that made fans question if it was all an act.

So, is the “All About That Bass” singer dating the “One Call Away” singer? It isn’t clear right now. Previously, Trainor, 21, noted that her kiss with Puth, 23, in the “Marvin Gaye” music video was awkward. “There were like, 40 people there and his parents were in the green room, and so we had to make out a bunch of times,” she told MTV in April. “Everyone was cheering because I was so good at it, and we went back to the green room and I was like, 'What’s up Mom and Dad?' So awkward.”

Trainor has clearly gotten over the awkwardness, even if they’re not dating. The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles was packed, and millions were watching the performance and kiss at home. The liplock lasted more than 10 seconds and helped #MeghanCharlieAMAs trend. Watch their AMAs kiss below:
