Ford (F) has issued a recall for one sole F-150 pickup truck because the unlucky owner is thought to have an improperly attached fuel tank, which could lead to a fuel leak or potential fire.

According to the recall notice, this one truck is a 2021 F-150 that may have been assembled without a fuel tank front attachment, which would have resulted in an unsecured fuel tank attachment strap.

The truck has a VIN number of 1FTFW1E54MFB99978 and was produced at Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan on July 1, 2021.

The notice states that Ford has attempted to work through the dealer to contact the customer for inspection and repair to no avail, leading to a recall.

To repair the issue, a Ford dealer will inspect and repair, if required, the fuel tank strap bracket at no charge to the vehicle owner.

Ford said that a recall notice will be sent to the truck owner starting on June 27.

The owner of the affected truck can call Ford customer service with questions at 1-866-436-7332.
