MTV left viewers hanging Wednesday night by not revealing the “Are You the One?” Season 5 confirmed perfect matches. The finale closed with this year’s 22 contestants failing to find their designated pairs and losing out on the shared $800,000 grand prize after the blackout twist took effect.

While MTV did not reveal all of the perfect matches during part one of Wednesday’s closer, viewers will learn which last members were paired up by the matchmakers during the “AYTO?” reunion special. This reunion is the first-ever for the show, which typically does quick cast catchups after each season airs.

The Season 5 cast is the first in the show’s history to fail the experiment. In episode 10, after a tense matchup ceremony and a supposed air-tight strategy to switch up three couples, the players learned from host Ryan Devlin they did not win. Out of 11 needed perfect match beams, the cast only secured eight. What resulted was several members of the cast fleeing the stage and breaking down in tears.
