‘Are You The One’ Season 7 Spoilers: Are Kenya And Tevin A Perfect Match? Recap

Kenya and Tevin immediately hit it off during the “Are You the One?” Season 7 premiere and on Wednesday’s episode 6, one of them visited the truth booth.

The latest MTV installment, titled “Spilling the Tea,” kicked off with Kenya and Tevin re-evaluating their relationship after Kenya’s ex appeared during a cast retreat.

Post-Retreat

Tevin makes it clear that he’s upset that Kenya kissed her former flame during the visit and says he wants to take a step back from their romance to see if he can help make more beams at the matchup ceremony. He also admits to being fearful that Kenya will find out about his secret hookup with Jasmine.

Elsewhere, Kenya says she felt at home with her boyfriend of two years but that she’s not going to go back to her ex because she knows their relationship isn’t going to get better. She says Tevin opened her eyes to new things and that she enjoys that he communicates his emotions.

Kwasi Tells The Truth

After returning to the “AYTO?” house, Kwasi makes it known that the entire house believes Kenya and Tevin are a perfect match. In an attempt to keep the house’s “power couple” together, Kwasi decides to tell Kenya about Tevin’s hookup with Jasmine. Kenya is“disgusted” by the news and immediately pulls Jasmine aside. When Jasmine admits to their hookup, she seeks out Tevin.

“Can you blame her for being obsessed with me?” Tevin responds after Kenya asks him to explain the romance.

Tevin goes on to share that it was hard for him to see her being affectionate with his ex. Kenya says she just needed closure from her ex and that she’s willing to work with Tevin and forgives him. Kenya add that she’ll put a “muzzle” over Jasmine’s mouth to stop them from hooking up again.

Group Date

When it is time to decide which four players will go on the group date, the fate button selects Morgan and Kenya and Kwasi and Brett. During their surfing date, Kenya and Brett both say they could be a perfect match because of their chemistry but admit they lack a romantic connection.

“Her personality’s unbelievable. We could be a match on paper,” Brett tells the house post-date. “On paper, we might be a match because there’s a lot of things we do have in common,” Kenya adds.

Truth Booth Results

Despite their lack of romantic feelings for one another, the house votes them into the truth booth. Tevin, calling Kenya his No. 1 and Brett is his best friend in the house, admits to being “scared” he’ll lose both of them to the honeymoon suite. Walking to the truth booth, Kenya also says she’s terrified because she didn’t get to grow her relationship with Tevin enough in the house.

While Jasmine tells the cameras she wants Kenya to leave the “AYTO?” house so she can be with her “man,” the results reveal the two are not a perfect match.

“I love Brett so, so, so much but I am so relieved we are not a match,” Kenya says. Brett says she’s also thrilled because he can go back to getting to know the other women in the house.

Matchup Ceremony

Ahead of the matchup ceremony, Asia strategizes who should sit with who after several weeks of only getting three beams. She specifically mentions not having Kenya and Tevin sit together to see if it helps their odds.

At the ceremony, Kayla starts things off by sitting with Brett. During Jasmine’s turn, she picks Tevin, leaving Kenya to have to pick another contestant. The house continues to stand up for Tevin and Kenya’s relationship following Jasmine’s pick with Asia letting Jasmine know it’s clear Tevin doesn’t like her. Kenya goes on to sit with Louis for the matchup ceremony.

“Kenya and I both feel that we are a match,” Tevin says before sharing his concerns the cast might blackout and lose their chance at the $1 million shared grand prize. Fortunately for the Season 7 players, the cast went on to get two beams, representing two perfect matches present.
