Houston Texans running back Arian Foster has been ruled inactive for the team's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Derrick Ward is expected to get the start in his place.

Foster had assured reporters that he would be fine to play on Sunday, but his injured hamstring hampered him too much for coach Gary Kubiak to feel comfortable starting him.

On Friday, ESPN's John Clayton says it still looks like a three to four week injury and thought it was unlikely that Foster would play on Sunday.

Foster created speculation that he could be out after he tweeted out a picture of a MRI of his hamstring - causing speculation he could be out for multiple weeks - though he maintained his readiness for the opening week.

It wasn't until the end of the week that Foster finally began hinting that he might miss some time.

With hamstrings, it's not something you can push through, Foster told reporters on Thursday. When you try to push through, it's just going to reoccur.

It's something that has to heal completely before you can come back completely.

Fantasy Football Analysis: If you haven't already, go sign either Derrick Ward or Ben Tate ASAP. The Texans have shown ability in the past to plug in running backs to success, so expect both to receive a good amount of carries against the Colts.

Arian Foster had his breaking out party last year against the Colts, so don't be shocked to see Ward or Tate do the same against the weak run defense team. Not only that, but with Colts' Peyton Manning out for the game, it's conceivable that the Texans could build up a big early lead and run the ball a lot to burn some clock.

Go get one of these two running backs now. As to who is better - Ward is the starter and will get more carrier, but Tate has a higher upside.
