Ariana Grande joins hopeful fans who can’t wait for Rihanna’s ninth studio album that nobody knows when it will arrive.
During an Apple Music interview recently, the “Thank U, Next” singer talked about her frustration over the Fenty Beauty mogul’s next album. Grande also revealed that she is a huge fan of Rihanna and in fact, she listens to the 32-year-old’s 2016 album, Bustle reported.
Rihanna’s “Anti” was the eighth and last album that was highly acclaimed and left fans wanting for more. She has been consistently asked about the matter and has not given a solid date on when her supporters, including Grande, will get to hear her music again.
Grande went on to explain that she gets why the singer, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has been taking her time. The Grammy winner also said she also appreciates that the Barbadian artist is putting so much effort into her work, however, she does think it’s high time that the entrepreneur releases the highly anticipated album.
“I think it's time. I need it. You know what I mean? Sorry. She's going to hate me for saying that, but I want it so bad. Like, I get it. I appreciate it. Can you just post it and then just leave and then go back to work?" Grande quipped.
At that point, host Zane Lowe chided that Rihanna may be coming after her because of what she said but just like the Savage X Fenty’s avid fans, Grande couldn’t hide her desperation for new music. Although she said she is being patient and supportive, she wanted her idol to just release hits.
The “Stuck With U” singer also chided that she gets mad whenever people rush her to releasing music and realized it may have been what she’s doing to the artist. Grande’s statement just echoes a lot of sentiments of Rihanna’s fans, one of whom took to Instagram to personally ask the “Umbrella” singer about the album.
"WHERES THE ALBUM?" commented on Rihanna’s Instagram post.
The hitmaker responded with a joke, claiming that she “lost it,” a reply that earned thousands of likes.
