Arkansas Bus Crash: One Child Dead, 40 Others Injured

Arkansas State Police confirmed one child was dead, 40 others were injured after a charter bus carrying a Tennessee youth football team crashed along Interstate 30 near Benton, Saline County, on Monday morning. The children aboard the bus were between 9 and 12 years old.
According to a press release, the “charter bus traveling from Texas to Memphis, Tennessee left the roadway and overturned. The bus driver is alive and is being questioned by state troopers.”

Arkansas Children's Hospital confirmed it received more than 20 patients following the crash, however, there was information about the severity of the injuries.
The children were part of the Orange Mound Youth League that had played in the championship game in Dallas during the weekend.
