A woman in Arkansas has been arrested after her roommate's dismembered remains were found inside a freezer.

According to authorities, Kore Bommeli was arrested after tests proved the remains were that of Talinia Galloway's, who went missing from her Oklahoma home on April 7, 2020, NY Daily News reported.

Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott told reporters the dismembered remains were found in a freezer dumped in a wooded area of Polk County, Ark., on Jan. 14.

In June 2020, a witness had approached the police to report a truck and white cargo trailer driving into a secluded area near the Ouachita National Forest, media outlet the Toronto Sun reported. The unidentified witness followed the vehicle, but found no one inside it by the time she caught up with it. She reported an odor from the truck and a foul-smelling liquid pooling nearby. Since the witness did not hear back from the authorities, she assumed the matter to have been resolved.

However, on Jan. 14, the same person discovered a freezer in the woods with its lid taped shut. She called the authorities and informed them about the previous incident. She also provided them with the vehicle's license plate number.

According to Elliott, the tag number checked back to Galloway.

The police said before her disappearance, Galloway took to Facebook to say she was battling COVID-19, but had no plans to get hospitalized.

"Those of you who know me well know I have DNR orders in my health directive, and I’m not going to let anyone intubate me. So I’ve made arrangements to spend some quality alone time at one of my favorite hideaways at one of my favorite lakes, and I’ve booked it for the remainder of this week,” the post had read.

However, Bommeli reported her missing on the same day. She had earlier been held for obstructing the investigation and destroying evidence in the case, and was out on a bond.

Bommeli was taken into custody on Thursday from Wisconsin and will face first-degree murder charges.

In a recent incident, a body was discovered in a freezer in an abandoned house in South Carolina. The discovery was made after a group of eight people visited the vacant house because they heard it was haunted. The group noticed a deep-freezer on the back porch of the house, and upon opening it, discovered a badly decomposed dead body inside.
