Armstrong loses third overall position on Tour de France stage 14th
American cyclist Lance Armstrong lost the third overall position in the Tour de France on Saturday during stage 14 of the race as George Hincapie also from the U.S. entered among the first three.
Armstrong,the seven-times tour winner who made his comeback in this tour, was positioned number 4 in the overall standings on Saturday, according to AFP Statistics.
Rinaldo Nocetini from Italy was number one, Hincapie followed in second place, five seconds behind, and Alberto Contador from Spain dropped to the third position just one second behind Hincapie.
Sergei Ivanov from Russia finished first the 14th Stage on Saturday, a flat 123.6 mile stage from Colmar to Besancon.
The 2009 Tour de France ends July 26 in Paris after cyclists complete 21 stages.
