The 2021 Army-Navy game takes center stage Saturday as the only college football game on the schedule. The rivalry usually doesn't feature a ton of offense, and that trend is expected to continue in the 122nd meeting.

Army is a 7.5-point favorite, according to the latest betting odds at various sportsbooks and The Athletic. The betting total is down to 35 points for the contest at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

In last year’s matchup, Army shut out Navy 15-0. Neither team had more than 162 total yards, and they combined for just 37 yards through the air. Each of the last eight meetings has featured 38 total points or fewer.

Army’s victory in 2020 marked its third win over Navy in four years. Prior to that stretch, Navy had dominated, beating the Black Knights every year from 2002 to 2015.

Saturday’s game starts at 3 p.m. EST on CBS.

The Black Knights have been the much better team this season, going 8-3 and entering the contest on a four-game winning streak. The Midshipmen have a 3-8 record, though they are coming off a 38-14 win against Temple.

Quarterback Christian Anderson has 545 passing yards and 519 rushing yards for Army. Running back Isaac Ruoss leads Navy with 157 carries for 608 yards.

The Black Knights have the 11th-ranked run defense. Only 14 teams score fewer points per game than the Midshipmen.

Navy leads the rivalry with a 61-53-7 all-time record.

Prediction: Army over Navy, 17-7
