‘The Arrangement’ Actress Christine Evangelista Reveals She Could Have Starred In ‘Divergent’
Christine Evangelista could have been part of the cast of the 2014 sci-fi film “Divergent.”
During a recent interview with E! News, Evangelista — who currently plays Megan Morrison on E!’s newest scripted series “The Arrangement” — revealed that she auditioned for a role in the Neil Burger-directed movie that was ultimately given to a more popular actress.
“There’s a role in ‘Divergent’ that I was up for that I really wanted, but it went to a bigger actress,” Evangelista shared, noting that such scenarios always happen in Hollywood.

In fact, the same thing also happened to Evangelista’s Megan in Season 1, episode 3 of “The Arrangement.” At the start of the episode, Megan was cast opposite her boyfriend, Kyle West (Josh Henderson), in the film “The Kill Plan.” But towards the end of the episode, Megan found out that she was replaced by Amelia Briggs (Anabelle Acosta), whom Terrence (Michael Vartan) described as a “box office equity.”
“I was personally affected when that role got taken away from her, part of it because Kyle is now directing movies, so that kind of made me a little upset,” Evangelista told E! News. “But also because it happens every time. There’s a status and marketability that comes with some major movie stars and you lose roles out for people that have more Twitter followers.”
“So follow me on Twitter, so I work more,” the 30-year-old actress joked.
After being dumped from “The Kill Plan,” Megan got a role in a play. And according to the synopsis for this week’s Season 1, episode 6, Megan will start preparing for the opening night of the play.
Elsewhere in the episode, Terrence asks Kyle’s help to save the Institute of the Higher Mind from a possible scandal, while DeAnn (Lexa Doig) discovers a much needed escape from her demanding life as film producer.
“The Arrangement” Season 1, episode 6, titled “Control,” airs on Sunday, April 9 at 10 p.m. EST.
