‘Arrow’ Changes Air Date For Crossover With ‘Flash,’ ‘Supergirl,’ ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’
“Arrow” Season 6 is moving to Thursdays this year, but fans will also have to readjust their schedules when the November crossover event happens. The Green Arrow’s show will move to Monday for just one night during the special event.
While each show had a respective night on the CW last year, the moves of “Legends of Tomorrow” and “Arrow” made things a little more complicated in 2017. With two DC TV shows on Tuesday and none on Wednesday, it would’ve been more difficult for casual viewers to keep track of the schedule. Luckily, the CW decided that was way too convoluted.

The crossover will instead be a two-night event. On Monday, Nov. 27, “Supergirl” will kick off the crossover at 8 p.m. EDT and lead into the “Arrow” portion of the event at 9 p.m. EDT. The special CW/DC programming block will continue on Tuesday with “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow” at their regularly scheduled times, 8 p.m. EDT and 9 p.m. EDT, respectively.
“Last year’s crossover was our most successful week I believe in CW’s history,” CW President Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour (via Entertainment Weekly). “We felt that in this particular case, we already had ‘Flash’ and ‘Legends’ paired. It would be better and tighter in terms of storytelling to make it like a two-night, two-hour miniseries. We thought this was a tight, concise way of doing it. Next year, we may go back to four nights.”
Last year, the crossover event barely hit “Supergirl,” with the events of “Invasion!” only affecting the last couple minutes of the Monday night portion. Apparently, that won’t be the case this year. “It’s a full, four-episode crossover,” Pedowitz emphasized (via TVLine). While he didn’t drop any hints about how exactly the writers were planning to top the “Invasion!” storyline, which featured many of the heroes being abducted by aliens, he simply teased, “Romance is in the air.”
“Arrow” star Stephen Amell told ComicBook.com that he knows “exactly what’s going to happen.” However, he didn’t reveal much besides also promising that Melissa Benoist’s show would be more involved.

“I think the idea this year, from what I understand is, last year they said four-night crossover but in a lot of ways, ‘Supergirl’ was just kind of a lead in to ‘The Flash,’ so I think this year they really want to get everyone involved,” Amell said. “It’s not going to be a four-night, well I guess four-night, but ‘Legends’ and ‘Flash’ are on the same night. I think they want to get everyone involved in every show.”
However, Amell wouldn’t give away anything about who would appear in the crossover. From “Arrow,” fans will obviously see the Green Arrow, but it isn’t clear who else will be alive by the time the crossover happens. “Arrow” Season 5 ended with a massive cliffhanger where most of the characters were on the island when Prometheus set off a series of hundreds of bombs. With so many cast members in danger, it seems impossible for every single person to survive. The survivors will be revealed in the Season 6 premiere on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
The CW/DC Crossover event airs Monday, Nov. 27 and Tuesday, Nov. 28 on The CW.
