‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell Says Emily Bett Rickards Is His Best On-Screen Kiss

Many actors take the diplomatic approach when asked about their best on-screen kisses, but “Arrow” star Stephen Amell went with the honest route. His answer is also likely to make a lot of his fans happy. The Canadian actor said that Emily Bett Rickards, who plays Felicity on the CW drama, was responsible for his best on-camera smooch.

“She’s a good kisser,” Amell told Entertainment Tonight. “There’s always a nervous energy when you kiss somebody, and we had known each other and are such good friends before in such a platonic, nonromantic way. It instills some of the nerves that are needed, that make a good kiss.”

The subject of kissing came up because the actor, who plays the Green Arrow, was at the MTV Movie Awards to present the Best Kiss category. Watch Amell discuss Oliver and Felicity’s intimate scenes below:

Of course, Amell and Rickards have a lot of experience kissing on “Arrow.” The two have been love interests for the majority of the series (though their characters didn’t get together until the end of Season 3). However, they haven’t been doing much smooching lately. Their characters, Oliver and Felicity, broke up earlier this year and have yet to get back together. Their reunion is always a possibility, though.

“I think they are each other’s soulmates,” Rickards told Entertainment Weekly in February. “I don’t think it’s that easy to let go of someone that you have shared such a deep connection with, even if they were hiding things from you. She might be able to take off the ring, but I don’t know if she can lose the intertwined connection of her heart, so we’ll see.”
