AC Milan have quashed rumours linked them to Fabregas.

After a reported interest in Fabregas from AC Milan shocked the world, the Italian side's vice-president Adriano Galliani has come out to deny any links to the Spaniard.

Such is the intensity of the saga that is unthinkable that Fabregas would leave Arsenal for anywhere other than Barcelona. The Catalans are reportedly negotiating with Arsenal over the suitable price for the 24-year-old. Rumours on Wednesday cracked about AC Milan staking an interest in the Spaniard.

However, Galliani has moved to quash rumours.

He said, "I understand that Fabregas is an Arsenal player and not a Barcelona one. There will be no battle between Barcelona and us for him. His transfer fee is hyperbolic and he's not one of our objectives."

Galliani then went on a denying spree, quashing rumours of a return for Real Madrid's Kaka and an approach for Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. He said, "Schweinsteiger is a flag bearer and he won't be coming to Milan. As for Kaka, that would be a difficult operation with financial complications."
