A natural beauty, Angelina Jolie, partner of actor Brad Pitt and daughter of Jon Voight, is widely known for her pouty lips and sultry eyes. She is an Academy Award winner, a mother, a wife, a UN High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador, and now she is Hollywood's highest paid actress.

Jolie, the Actress

Jolie ranks at the number one spot for Hollywood's highest paid actresses, sharing the 'highest paid actress' title with Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker. Both actresses brought in $30 million in 2010.

Jolie is known for her status as a sex symbol, but also for her versatility as an actress. In 2009 the actress was nominated for an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her role in Changling. In 2000, Jolie took home an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Girl, Interrupted. Jolie's latest film, the animation Kung Fu Panda 2, hit theatres this summer, and she has two films rumored to be in pre-production: The Silver Linings Playbook and Cleopatra.

Jolie, the Producer

In 2005, Jolie had her first taste at producing with Lovesick. The plot focuses on the pressures of family, culture and tradition, following the story of a Cambodian woman who is forced into a marriage with a man she doesn't know. Jolie was also the executive producer of the documentary Trudell, which is a chronicle of John Trudell, a Native American poet and activist.

Jolie, the Humanitarian

2003 saw the inception of the Maddox Jolie-Foundation, which has since been changed to Maddox Jolie-Pitt foundation.

The foundation is committed to creating peace and stability in communities by working with impoverished rural villagers and local governments. It aims to help alleviate food shortages and increase basic necessities, such as healthcare and education.

Jolie is also a UN High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador.
