Main is returning and is one of the Cathedral's blue priestess apprentices in "Ascendance of a Bookworm" Season 3. She starts making books with a printing press. However, her journey is not going to be an easy one.

The official website has released the synopsis of "Ascendance of a Bookworm" Season 3, Episode 1. Main is steadfastly working toward mass producing and selling picture books. She is working toward her goal.

However, it turns out that the chairman of the Ink Association has been sneaking around and watching Main. Meanwhile, Benno offers something to Main.

"After becoming a blue priestess apprentice, Main continues doing everything to protect her loved ones. With some nobles targeting her because of her magic, she becomes the adopted daughter of Karstedt. She's assigned a personal knight, which would mean leaving her family. Will Main be able to protect everyone while pursuing her goal of creating a letterpress, with danger lurking around?" read the official synopsis of "Ascendance of a Bookworm" Season 3.

The cast of the anime includes Yuka Iguchi as Main, Sho Karino as Fran, Takehito Koyasu as Benno, Tomoaki Maeno as Mark, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Karlsted, Tsuyoshi Koyama as Gunther, Yuichiro Umehara as Damuel, Yuko Sanpei as Gil, Aya Uchida as Frieda, Chiyo Tomaru as Delia, Fumiko Orikasa as Effa, Kiyono Yasuno as Vilma, Megumi Nakajima as Turi, Minori Suzuki as Rosina, Mutsumi Tamura as Lutz, Rika Kinugawa as Corinna, Satoshi Hino as Otto and Sho Hayami as Ferdinand.

The opening theme of "Ascendance of a Bookworm" Season 3, titled "Ano Hi no Kotoba," is performed by Nao Touyama. The ending theme song, "Kotoba ni Dekinai," is by Maaya Sakamoto.

The anime's new season is directed by Mitsuru Hongo and the series composition is by Mariko Kunisawa. The character design is by Haruka Matsunae, Yoshiaki Yanagida and Toshihisa Kaiya. Emiko Endo and Noriko Otake are the chief animation directors.

"Ascendance of a Bookworm" Season 3 is based on the original story by Miya Kazuki and the original character design is by You Shiina.
