'Ash Vs. Evil Dead' Season 2 Spoilers: What Does Ash's Childhood Bedroom Look Like?
“Ash vs. Evil Dead” is gearing up for its second season.
Production for the upcoming installment has started, and a few sneak peeks at what's to come have already been teased. Season 2 will feature Ash (Bruce Campbell) trying to save his hometown, Elk Grove, from all the evil forces occupying it.
With Ash's return, he is bound to interact with people from his past, including his father Brock (Lee Majors), childhood best friend Chet (Ted Raimi) and his high school sweetheart Linda (Michelle Hurd). He is also bound to return to his childhood home. Viewers will get a good look at where Ash spent his younger years in the upcoming season.
Production designer Nick Bassett shared the inspiration behind the room's design in an interview with JoBlo, saying: “Ash's bedroom is a time capsule. It's a little piece of the '70s and '80s nostalgia or a very focused trip down Michigan memory lane.”
Bassett also said that the room has a similar feel to Ash's trailer. Considering that the character spent a lot of time during his growing years in that room, it was natural that he took some elements of it and put it in his new space.
Bassett added: “We figured that before the incident at the cabin, his character was a pretty normal, everyday kind of guy and we wanted to put some quite typical things in there like Faygo posters, Michigan State memorabilia and a cello which is slightly out of character now, but once upon a time who knows.”
Apart from Ash's return to his hometown, viewers can also expect to see the show's biggest villain yet. Baal (Joel Tobeck) will be more powerful than all the enemies Ash and his sidekicks Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) went up against, according to Screen Crush.
Campbell also teased during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that viewers will see the “worst onscreen death in the history of visual arts” in the upcoming season of the show.
“Ash vs. Evil Dead” season 2 will premiere on Oct. 2 on Starz.
