Ashley Greene Apartment Fire: ‘Twilight’ Star’s Dog Was Allegedly In Condo At Time Of Fire

“Twilight” star Ashley Greene’s condo in West Hollywood, Calif., reportedly went up in flames on Friday.

According to Radar Online, 55 firefighters arrived at the scene on Friday morning after a fire broke out in an apartment on the building’s third floor.

Los Angeles Fire Department Inspector Quvondo Johnson confirmed that officials were notified of a fire in Greene’s condo in the morning and dispatched firemen to the site at 9:50 a.m. PT.

“We made an aggressive fire attack,” Johnson said. “Our team saw smoke and fire coming from the third floor.”

Johnson added that paramedics had taken two victims to the hospital but did not identify them. “We have reports of two patrons that were burned, so they were treated by the paramedics and sent to the hospital," he said.

Greene reportedly owns two dogs, a fox terrier named Marlo and a Chihuahua, but, according to TMZ, only one dog is known to have survived the incident. The gossip site reported that Greene’s brother and assistant had repeatedly entered and left the apartment Friday morning before the fire broke out, but it’s not known whether anyone was inside at the time of the fire.

A neighbor of Greene told the publication that during the incident she heard glass exploding inside Greene’s unit and said that Greene’s pet Chihuahua had been inside.

Fire department officials said that the fire was extinguished at approximately 10:07 a.m. and that firemen were involved in “salvage and overhaul.”

News of the fire immediately prompted a wave of concern and sympathy from Greene’s fans, who took to Twitter to send her their prayers and best wishes.

“I'm sorry for what happened, Ash but it'll be fine” @rkfeattwilight wrote.

Other users took the news as an opportunity to give the actress some advice.

“Well Ashley Greene learned her lesson quick,” user @xoxobrianne10m tweeted, adding, “Nothing good comes from going on a date with Ryan Phillippe,” referring to recent rumors that Greene is allegedly dating the “Cruel Intentions” actor.
