Ashton Kutcher Tweets, Urges Village Voice Media's Advertisers to Drop Business
Ashton Kutcher is battling with Village Voice, accusing them of supporting a digital brothel and making efforts to notify the weekly paper's advertisers to drop their ads.
This comes after Village Voice's cover piece Real Men Get Their Facts Straight went live, criticizing Ashton Kutcher's Real Men Don't Buy Girls campaign.
Kutcher has so far succeeded to convince American Airlines to stop advertising with the paper, and Domino's might be next.
Ashton has quite an influence on the social network with a staggering 7 million followers on Twitter. His tweets are putting the spotlight on Village Voice, which he describes as a digital brothel.
He also tweeted directly to Village voice regarding a lawsuit filed by a sex trafficking victim accusing the media company of supporting prostitution ads through Backpage.com, their classifieds website.
The June 29 tweet goes: hey @villagevoice hows the lawsuit from the 15 year old victim who alleges you helped enslave them going?
Kutcher has since tweeted Disney, Domino's and Columbia University to severe business relations with Village Voice Media.
