A threatening note caused panic and resulted in a delayed flight Saturday in Atlanta. According to a Twitter post from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the note was found on an American Airlines flight at approximately 7 a.m.

The flight, which was bound for the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, was delayed and all its passengers were deboarded and subjected to another round of security checks. The Atlanta police were brought in to conduct broader security checks.

“Shortly before 7am, prior to departure from the gate, a threatening note was found aboard an American Airlines flight bound for DFW,” the airport’s tweet read. “The passengers were disembarked and re-screened at the gate, and APD is on scene to conduct a security sweep of the plane.”

There have been no reports as to what the note read or what type of threat was made.

A later tweet from the Atlanta police confirmed that security sweeps turned up no threats and that no arrests had been made.

“Officers swept the plane. The ‘all clear’ has been given,” the tweet read. “No threat found and no arrests made. Thank you for your patience as we worked to ensure the security of passengers at our airport.”
