Atlanta Freak Car Accident Kills Five, Including Three Children, Two Others Critical

Five people, including three children, were killed in a freak car accident involving a Nissan Sentra and a MARTA public transit bus late Wednesday.
Atlanta police told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution the accident happened around 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bolton Road and Donald Lee Howell Parkway in northwest Atlanta.
Authorities said the vehicle was traveling southbound when it suddenly crossed the centerline and into the opposite lane. The car then rammed head-on into a MARTA bus.
The crash caused the death of a 22-year-old woman, a teenager, two children and a 19-month-old toddler.
The car's driver, which was identified as a 32-year-old female, and a 15-year-old passenger were the only ones to survive the horrific accident.
They were rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition, reported Fox5 Atlanta.
The MARTA bus driver was also brought to a local hospital with minor injuries. Firefighters who responded to the wreckage said three people were aboard the bus but were not injured.
A second car crashed into the vehicles but the two passengers were uninjured.
