Starting February 7, German automobile manufacturer Audi will act as the Presenting Sponsor of the 41st FIS Alpine World Ski Championships scheduled to be held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

Being the partner of a total of 13 alpine national teams, Audi is not only nailing its colors to the mast at the Kandahar and Gudiberg ski arenas but will also display the brand by presenting an extensive program off the slopes.

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships is organized by International Ski Federation (FIS) and some of the biggest names in the field like Lindsey Vonn, Maria Riesch and Didier Cuche take part in the event.

For the upcoming event, Audi will also host a vehicle exhibition and a fan shop in the Kandahar and Gudiberg spectator areas. Besides this, a new app for iPhone and iPod touch, which the company has especially developed for the championships, will keep people updated about the exclusive details of the event.

The World Ski Championships will be the fourth title contest after St. Moritz (2003), Bormio (2005) and Val d'Isère (2009), where Audi will act as the Presenting Sponsor. The company will furnish 70 vehicles for the shuttle fleet including the Audi Q5 and Q7 plus an A8 stretch version. Apart from this, the finalists will be chauffeured to the podium ceremony on the Medal Plaza in Audi Cabriolets.
