Australian bank launches ATM with foreign currency
Australian Bank of Queensland on Thursday launched its first in-branch foreign currency ATM making it easier for locals to get foreign currency before heading abroad.
The new ATM carries US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros and New Zealand Dollars. The currency can be accessed by inserting a debit card and a screen shows exchange rate and service fee.
Group Executive People and Corporate Services Daniel Musson said the new ATM offered convenience and access for increasingly time poor Australians.
Our new foreign currency ATM makes it easy for people to dash into the branch, grab their foreign currency and dash out again, without having to wait to speak to a teller”, said Musson.
This new service and technology is provided by foreign exchange company, Travelex.
