'Autumn In The City' Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel is wrapping up its lineup of new Fall movies, but not before giving viewers one last treat. The newest premiere, "Autumn In The City," starring Aimee Teegarden and Evan Roderick, debuts Saturday night.
The film should be a treat for fans, as it will reacquaint them with actors who have appeared in Hallmark titles before but are still both relative newbies to the networks. Teegarden, who is best known for her role as Julie Taylor on "Friday Night Lights," will be making her return to the network. Her previous projects included the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film "Once Upon A Christmas Miracle," as well as the Hallmark Channel titles "A New Year's Resolution" and "My Christmas Family Tree."
Roderick, meanwhile, has only starred in "Garage Sale Mysteries: Picture a Murder" on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries before. He is better known for roles like Officer Nick Anastas on "Arrow" and Justin Davis on "Spinning Out."
Colleen Wheeler ("The 27-Hour Day") also stars.
So what can fans look forward to in this Fall finale? Let's find out.
"Piper Grant (Teegarden) moves to New York for a fresh start and to find her career passion," a synopsis reads. "As she bounces between different exciting temp jobs that take her all over the city, she meets Austin Edwards (Roderick), an aspiring writer hoping to emerge from the shadow of his famous journalist mother (Wheeler)."
What initially sees two very different people clashing soon grows into more, especially as Piper finally realizes what she wants to pursue—and it might be more than her dream job.
"While Piper's sunny optimism is at odds with Austin's jaded personality, the magic of the autumn season soon brings them closer together," the synopsis teases. "When Piper realized her true passion is illustration, they decide to team up on a children's book project, and in the process, discover what they're really searching for just might be each other."
"Autumn in the City" airs Saturday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
