Avalone Fishback, a student at Langston University in Oklahoma, was arrested Wednesday after she attempted to hire four different men to kill her ex-boyfriend. Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and the FBI conducted a joint investigation before taking the 20-year-old into custody.

Fishback was charged with one count of solicitation for first-degree murder and was taken to the Logan County jail where she was being held on a $150,000 bond.

“A Langston student was arrested today for allegedly trying to hire someone to kill her boyfriend,” OSBI wrote on Twitter. “Avalone Fishback was arrested on 1 count of solicitation for 1st-degree murder. Participating agencies were OSBI, FBI, Langston University PD and Missouri officials.”

Fishback admitted to investigators she wanted her ex-boyfriend "dead because he had betrayed her, lied to her mother and broke off the relationship he had with her," reports said, citing a probable cause affidavit.

The young woman's plans of hiring a hitman to kill her ex-boyfriend came to light after agents were contacted by law enforcement in Lee's Summit, Missouri, in regard to the alleged plot. Before making the arrest, authorities conducted a detailed probe to confirm the alleged murder plot. The identity of the former boyfriend and the reason for their split has not been revealed.

Court documents revealed that a man was contacted by a user on the dating website Plenty of Fish in late August. The account was later taken over by an FBI agent in early September, but the user "Antenique9, 19" was no longer being used.

When FBI and OSBI agents arrived at Fishback's campus apartment on Tuesday, she admitted to soliciting the man to kill her ex-boyfriend, who lives in Missouri, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Fishback also told investigators three more people were contacted by her to help carry out her alleged plan for murder. She revealed that in an incident in July, she met with a possible hitman at Stars and Stripes Park in Oklahoma City. The man asked for $1,000 to "shoot and dump" her former lover. However, she did not go ahead with the man as he had a criminal case pending, Fishback told authorities during the interview.

"Langston University is aware of the matter and the Langston University Police Department is working with and will continue cooperating with the OSBI who is the lead agency on this matter," the university said in response to the incident, local media reported.

According to Fishback's Facebook profile, she graduated from high school in 2016. Her profile reportedly states that she is from Oklahoma City and is currently single. Her favorite quote is “blacker the berry sweeter the juice,” and she is interested in musicians such as R. Kelly, Iggy Azalea, ASAP Rocky and Mariah Carey.
