‘Avengers: Endgame’ Footage Leaks; How To Block Spoilers Until April 26
“Avengers: Endgame” is supposed to be top secret, but some footage has reportedly leaked. Fans need to be vigilant if they want to block out any spoilers, and it’s tough to avoid social media for over a week. There are a few ways to block spoilers until Marvel officially releases the movie.
Staying off social media entirely is the best option, but some habitually sign on to social networking platforms without even thinking. To stop this habit, install Work Mode, a browser extension that blocks all social media. For phones, try something like Freedom that blocks social media for eight hours at a time.
Still, “Avengers: Endgame” is 10 days away, and avoiding social media completely might not be an option. It’s impossible to block all the gifs, video clips and photos circulating on sites like YouTube, Reddit and Twitter. However, blocking keywords can be helpful.
Twitter makes it easy with its own muting feature. Be aware that muting words on Twitter only applies to your notifications and personal timeline. Users who use the search feature risk seeing any words they muted. See Twitter for instructions.
Other social media platforms don’t have that convenient feature and require browser extensions to block keywords. Tumblr Savior is the best way to avoid spoilers on the blogging site while Facebook users can use Social Fixer.
A browser extension like Spoiler Protection 2.0 will cover everything. Beyond Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Reddit, it also covers YouTube, Google and news websites.
“Avengers: Endgame” keywords to consider blocking:
- Marvel
- MCU
- Avengers
- Endgame
- spoilers
- leak
- Captain America
- Cap
- Steve Rogers
- Iron Man
- Tony Stark
- Black Widow
- Natasha Romanoff
- Hulk
- Bruce Banner
- Hawkeye
- Clint Barton
- Captain Marvel
- Carol Danvers

There are plenty of other options as well. Some users might consider adding the actors’ names or even the names of the characters caught in Thanos’ deadly snap.
Of course, these programs are just for keywords. If someone posts image or video without text, it cannot be blocked. According to iO9, the footage appears to be shot in a movie screening with seats visible and includes Arabic subtitles. If you see any clips or photos that appear to have been taken from within a theater, scroll past as quickly as possible to avoid any spoilers.
“Avengers: Endgame” hits theaters April 26.
