'The Avengers': First Clip Shows Scarlett Johansson Fighting Russians, Hints At Black Widow - Hawkeye Romance [VIDEO]
'The Avengers' have released a first clip from the superhero action flick that features Black Widow -Natasha Romanoff- kicking some major butt.
The clip starts off with Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, tied to a chair, being interrogated by three Russians, one of which is in an army uniform.
She takes a phone call with Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) who reveals that a member of the team has been compromised.
There's a pause, and Black Widow responds, Let me put you on hold.
What follows is a spectacular showing of her fighting skills. She starts off with a Statham-Brand Chair Backflip and proceeds to subdue all of her captors.
'The Avengers' revolves around the development of S.H.I.E.L.D., an international peacekeeping agency composed of superheroes Nick Fury creates. When Loki and his army rise, S.H.I.E.L.D. comes together to save Earth and restore peace.
Marvel's upcoming ensemble movie features a cast of well-loved superheroes including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and most notably, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Tom Hiddleston plays villain Loki.
'The Avengers' will be released on May 4, 2012.
