Average Penis Size In The UK Revealed By The National Health Service
NHS released five truths about the penis to aid males in the UK in knowing more about their genital organs. Among the things published by the health body is the myth about the relationship of the penis to foot size and the average penis size in the UK.
To determine the average size, University College London researchers measured the male organs of 104 UK men, which included teenagers and pensioners. Researchers found that the average length of the penis in the group was around 5.1 inches or 13 cm when gently stretched in its soft state. Researchers did not find any relationship between penis length and size of the shoes.
In a study published in the British Journal of Urology International, the belief that the size of the penis is proportional to shoe size is purely a myth. The average size of shoes in the UK is 9 or 10.6 inches. This is twice longer than the established average penis length.
The National Health Service also bared their findings that shorter penises tend to increase more in length compared to longer ones when erect. In a study which looked into the penis size of 2,770 men, researchers found shorter penises when erect have increased their size by about 86%. This is almost twice the size of longer penises, which increased in length by only 47% when erect.
Additionally, a study published in 1988 by the Journal of Sex Research revealed that the length difference between long penises and a shorter one is not that obvious when erect. It only became noticeable when both are in their flaccid statuses.
For instance, the length of flaccid penises varies by about 1.2 inches, while the average length of the same penises is only 0.67 inches when erect. According to the NHS, to determine the exact size of your penis, you have to have an erection first before measuring it. Measure the top side of your penis from its base to its tip.
A lot of men worry that they have small penises and that they might not be able to satisfy their lovers. This recent research, however, showed that most men are underestimating the dimensions of their pride and joy.
The average size of a penis range from 5 inches to 7 inches, and exercises or medication will not make your penis bigger or smaller. The NHS also said the angle of an erect penis varies hugely, noting that every penis is unique.
The health body also said that the view of many men about their penises was shaped during childhood. They may have seen the penis of their father, older brother, or friend, and may have mentally compared these to their own.
Anxiety and fears about their organ sizes may have been the result of people taunting them during their adolescent days or after a sexual partner said something about the size. In many cases, however, many of them may have formed a wrong outlook on their penis size.
To truly see your penis as viewed by other people, stand naked in front of a full-length mirror. You will see that your penis will look bigger and longer as compared to the view from above.
