While break-ups and shake-ups are nothing new in Hollywood, it seems like Lavigne and Jenner are having a field day with the media.

The pair is making headlines again this week, after being spotted having dinner together in West Hollywood on Monday.

But not so fast on those reunion rumors.

They are not back together, a source told Us Weekly, adding that the couple is trying to figure out how to separate.

Another source adds that Jenner was the one to suggest the break-up in January, in anticipation of Lavigne's tour dates in Asia.

He told her he was tired of always being her plus-one, and always going on tour with her . . . they still love each other and could get back together, but for now, he needed a break, the source told Us.

The West Hollywood sighting of the couple comes two weeks after Lavigne, 27, and Jenner, 28, took to Twitter to clear the air. (Sort of).

It really upsets me to read all the FALSE!! stories. Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her, Jenner wrote on Jan. 17.

Lavigne and Jenner have been dating since January 2010.

On Thursday, Lavigne took to Twitter to address the other highlight of her week: Japan.

I have so much LOVE for Japan. It's so nice to be back and to see fans at the airport waiting for me. You are all so sweet. I love you:) she wrote.

The Canadian singer is about to begin a 9-city tour of Asia, in support of her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby.
