Baby Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Gifted With Million-Dollar Nursery Suite At Barclay's Center
What do you get for the baby who has everything? A million-dollar nursery in Barclay’s Center.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have rented out the nursery suite at the Brooklyn arena for their daughter, Blue Ivy.
According to the Daily Mail, Blue Ivy stays in the nursery that costs $1 million dollars a year to rent when her famous father is in town performing or catching a Brooklyn Nets game.
Jay-Z performed eight shows at the arena in 2012, including one in October, where Beyoncé also performed as a surprise guest, according to US Weekly.
A source told the magazine that Blue’s playroom not only caters to the baby, but also serves as a VIP space for Jay-Z’s adult friends.
"Jay rents a luxurious basement suite for $1 million a year. It has an area for Blue filled with toys," the source told Us.
"It's all glass with a champagne bar and TV screen," the source added. "Jay lets friends use his digs when he's not there."
Blue Ivy will turn one-years-old today, and will probably continue to be spoiled rotten on her special day, if previous gifts are any indication.
Among the many gifts her parents have bestowed on her include a $21,000 "fantasy crib" made of solid cedar and birch and a $16,000 high-chair lined with Swarovski crystals designed by Carla Monchen, bought just days after her birth, according to the Daily Mail.
Her parent’s famous friends also dote on Blue, including Sean Combs, Kanye West, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey.
Beyoncé’s former Destiny’s Child band mate, Kelly Rowland, reportedly gave Blue a $4,700 Swarovski crystal-studded baby bath, for which interior designer Lori Gardner spent two months applying 44,928 crystals by hand.
There is no word on what festivities are planned for Blue Ivy’s birthday, or what gifts she will get; however, her parents were spotted at a casino in Barbados on Sunday.
