Baby Ivy Blue Carter’s First Photo: Why Beyonce and Jay-Z Won’t Sell Exclusive Images

Beyonce announced her pregnancy at MTV VMAs and was often spotted proudly flaunting her adorable baby bump at several Red carpet events, award functions, interviews and television appearances.

However, chances are that the very private couple will not release the pictures of their newly born baby girl. The baby was born in C-section at Lenox Hill Hospital, NYC, Jan. 7.

Now that the much-awaited baby has arrived, the fans are eagerly waiting for a glimpse of that adorable baby.

According to reports, the couple has reportedly been avoiding the media. The Huffington Post reported that they had ignored all the calls of editors and magazines that were apparently ready to pay any staggering amount for the exclusive first image of the mother and child.

They are one of the most private couples, one magazine editor told the Huffington Post reporter. We have made several offers to their people about running exclusive images of mother and baby and no one has responded.

If Beyonce and Jay-Z do decide to share their child with the world, they will probably go the same route as Tom Cruise and Katie, the editor explained.

Instead of selling the images to a weekly publication, they would give them away for nothing to lock in a cover of a monthly like Vanity Fair. But knowing this couple, it is unlikely we will ever see a staged picture of the child, a source said.

If we look back, according to September 2011 reports, pregnant Beyonce knew the sex of her child and still kept it a secret from the world.

Baby's gender is already known and they're even picking out names, sister Solange Knowles said, according to reports in mid-September.

The 30-year-old star is a successful public personality, yet she has controlled her private life. In fact, the world did not know when she secretly married Jay-Z in 2008. The pictures were not released, nor was media invited.

Everyone reached out to the couple to buy wedding pictures and they refused, an industry insider said. They have an estimated net worth of over $700 million. It's not like they need the money, he told The Huffington Post.

Also, her decision of coming out openly in public about her pregnancy was a well considered and planned one.

I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to unveil it. It was important to me that I was able to do it myself. I was extremely nervous. It was the toughest red carpet I ever did. I didn't want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news, so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump, she told Harper's Bazaar magazine in an earlier interview for its November issue.
