Baby Prince Jigme Of Bhutan Giggles In New Official Portrait With Parents King Jigme And Queen Jetsun
For the first time since the little one was born, Prince Jigme of Bhutan was seen giggling in a new portrait released by his parents King Jigme and Queen Jetsun of Bhutan. The four-month-old was cradled by his proud parents in the picture. The threesome posed in traditional dress for the photoshoot taken at the Royal Bhutan Flower Exhibition.
The picture was released on the day of Jetsun’s 26th birthday Saturday when she inaugurated the second edition of the flower exhibition. The exhibition has been dedicated to the young queen this year. The picture shows the king and queen little seated on a wooden bench with little Jigme in his dad’s arms.
The 36-year-old king wears the traditional gho in multi-colored plaid pattern. He wears black knee-high socks and black lace-up shoes and smiles at his son. Jetsun is stylish in a neutral colored kira paired with a silk blouse. Her long black hair is left loose as she plays with her baby son.
Baby Jigme looks adorable showing off his sunny smile and looking ecstatic. He is wrapped up in a yellow dress. The trio pose against an imposing backdrop of flowers. Jigme and Jetsun, who have been dubbed the “William and Kate of the Himalayas”, welcomed their first child on Feb. 5. Like their British counterparts, the royal couple did not announce the name of their son till he turned two months.
Like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Jigme and Jetsun married in 2011. Both the pairs met for the first time when Kate and William traveled to Bhutan for their royal visit to India and the Himalayan region. The Bhutanese royal couple held a traditional naming ceremony for their son where they announced his name.
Since the birth of the baby prince, his parents have released several photographs for the royal fans.
