“Bachelor in Paradise” viewers who usually turn off “After Paradise” won’t want to skip channels Monday night. Host Chris Harrison is to announce which sexy and single former “Bachelorette” star will be taking over as “The Bachelor” in 2016.

ABC said the new lead will be “introduced live in-studio.” The mystery man will sit down with “After Paradise” hosts Harrison and Jenny Mollen to discuss the show’s “landmark 20th season.”

Of course, many “Bachelor” fans already have their own guess as to who will be taking over. Rumor has it Ben Higgins of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of “The Bachelorette” is the front-runner for the position.

For those unfamiliar with Ben, he’s a 26-year-old software salesman from Denver. Ben really got his spot in the light during the dates in Texas when he landed his first one-on-one with Kaitlyn. He literally swept her off of her feet during their afternoon at a square dancing competition. And the heat on the dance floor didn’t stop there. Unfortunately as the season wound down, Kaitlyn’s connections with Shawn Booth and Nick Viall were a little stronger than her relationship with Ben. Despite enjoying a fun overnight date in episode 9 with the handsome bachelor, she sent him packing later that episode.

He didn’t win the heart of Kaitlyn, but he certainly won over female viewers. The roar from the crowd was almost deafening when he appeared on the “Men Tell All” special after his elimination. And he even has Kaitlyn’s blessing to become the next “Bachelor” lead.

“I think he’s just a well-rounded and solid guy who knows what he wants,” Kaitlyn told People magazine in July (via OK!). “Even though he is only 26 I feel like he’s a very mature 26. He is such a gentleman. He’s a really, really, really, solid guy and he’s extremely handsome.”

Tune into “Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise” on ABC at 9 p.m. EDT to find out the next star of “The Bachelor.”
