‘Bachelor’ Alum Nick Viall Has Started Dating After Vanessa Grimaldi Split
Nick Viall has started dating just over three months after he split from Vanessa Grimaldi.
“The Bachelor” alum told Access Hollywood that he’s hopeful he could find the woman he could spend the rest of his life with. “I hope so. It might have given up on me, I don’t know. But yes, I hope one day that works out for me. You know, I’m out there dating,” he said.
In August, Viall and Grimaldi released a joint statement announcing their decision to call off their engagement. “It’s with a great amount of heartbreak for the both of us as we have decided to end our engagement. We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairytale ending we hoped for,” they said.
After the couple got together on the show and even before they got engaged, Viall and Grimaldi already faced some issues regarding where they would continue their relationship.
“I haven’t been able to go to Montreal outside of the show,” he said. Viall added that they were in no rush to plan their wedding. “I think we’re just focused on that right now. We’re very open about the fact that we have a long way to go and we’re excited about that journey,” he added.
Meanwhile, even though Viall and Grimaldi’s wedding did not push through, the reality TV star said that they have an amicable relationship with each other. “It was unfortunate, but we wish each other the best. I certainly wish her the best,” he said during the recent interview.
Every now and then, the ex-couple would also keep in touch. “Obviously we’re there for each other if need be, but she has her things going on and I have mine. I think we’re both thankful that we still have very positive thoughts and feelings for each other,” he said.
In November, People reported that Grimaldi is still single. However, she has been hanging out with Montreal hockey player Brendan Gallagher. “They’ve been talking and hanging out together. They’re cute. It’s all relatively new,” the source said.
