‘The Bachelor’ Bad Girl Corinne Olympios Calls On Viewers To Join ‘Team Corn’ After Drama Pits The Season 21 Cast Against Her
The “Bachelor” mansion is officially divided following Season 21, episode 5. The women are fed up with the antics of Corinne Olympios, who has been clear about the fact that she will do anything to get and maintain Nick Viall’s attention. While they sweat her and Nick’s attraction to one another, Corinne is capitalizing on her villainy.
The Season 21 breakaway star of the ABC dating competition series took to Instagram following Monday’s episode. Corinne shared a photo of herself wearing a “Team Corn” bodysuit, asking fans to side with her throughout the rest of the 2017 “Bachelor” installment. She urged viewers to do so “or be square.” It does not appear, however, that the merchandise she wore in the photo is for sale.
The team name is, of course, a reference to a quote from Corinne in episode 4 in which she compared herself to “an ear of corn.” She explained that while it may not seem like it after first, there are multiple and complex layers to her. Corinne assured viewers that it was worth taking the time to get to the center, which she described as “buttery,” “juicy” and filled with nuggets of information.
“I’m a corn husk; you gotta pull all the layers back. And in the middle is this luxury, yellow corn. With all these pellets of information,” she said. “And it’s juicy, and buttery. You want to get to that corn.”
The comment came after Corinne overheard her “Bachelor” co-stars talking about her behind her back. Rather than allow the drama to continue, she decided — like any good reality star villain — to face it head on. Corinne entered the room and sat down with her cast mates to discuss their issues which turned into lengthy tirade that drew confused stares from all corners of the room.
Corinne’s reign on “The Bachelor” will continue through Season 21, episode 5, according to spoiler blogger Reality Steve. During the episode Corinne and her most outspoken enemy, Taylor, will be chosen to go on a two-on-one group date together with Nick after landing in New Orleans. The pair will reportedly accompany “The Bachelor” on a visit to the bayou, have their tarot cards read and then enjoy a cocktail together before Nick is forced to chose which of the two will get the date rose.
Corinne will emerge victorious, which will not go over well with Taylor. She’ll apparently try to confront Nick about having made the wrong decision, which will prompt him to send her packing during the date.
Tune in to “The Bachelor” Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
