‘The Bachelor’ Conspiracy Theory About Colton And Cassie Was Shut Down In This Way
Ever since it was leaked that Cassie Randolph would win Colton Underwood’s season of “The Bachelor” earlier this year, theories that the couple wasn’t legitimate or that Cassie went on the show “for the wrong reasons” began to surface. However, the reality star winner’s new interview with Cosmopolitan appears shuts down those theories.
In the middle of Colton’s “The Bachelor” Season 23, it was revealed that Cassie had filmed a reality show with her ex-boyfriend that toyed with the idea of them getting back together mere weeks before filming the ABC show. This led some viewers to believe Cassie may have had ulterior motives going into “The Bachelor.” It didn’t help her cause that her co-stars continually told Colton during production that she wanted to be the next “Bachelorette” lead.
“The bottom line is that they both love the spotlight more than each other. They’re definitely faking it for fame,” a source told Life & Style of the couple in March. “They want the paid appearances, endorsement deals and bigger social media followings. That’s all money in the bank.”

After months of facing rumors, Cassie’s interview with Cosmopolitan in their July 2019 issue seems to shut down speculation that her relationship with Colton isn’t genuine. “Just minutes into her Cosmo interview about her fashion sense, Cassie brought him up,” noted the magazine.
After stating that Colton’s style is “bolder” than her own and opening up about his hygiene habits and her love for wearing his shirts to bed, the magazine wrote, “Attention, Bachelor Nation conspiracy theorists: Based on Cassie’s gushing, this relationship is real.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time that rumors the couple is “faking” their romance have been shut down. Ahead of Hannah Brown’s “The Bachelorette” season premiere in May, Colton and Cassie revealed they were still an item despite living separately.
“Living our separate lives but still coming together at the end of the day is what’s most important for us and what’s the right step for where we’re at in our relationship,” Colton told OK! Magazine at the time. He added, “We definitely talk about our future engagement.”
