Is ‘The Bachelor’ Matt James Engaged To His Winner? Finale Spoiler Update
While promoting his season of “The Bachelor” lead Matt James has been understandably coy about his relationship status post-show, but it appears fans won’t have to wait until the finale to find out if he’s engaged.
[Warning: Spoilers Ahead!]
After previously teasing Matt was still with his Season 25 winner Rachael Kirkconnell but noting he was unclear if the couple was engaged, spoiler king Reality Steve is now changing his tune.
According to his latest findings, published in a Feb. 2 blog post, the ABC stars are still together but Matt never got down on one knee.
“Matt did not propose to Rachael,” he reported. “They are still together today though.”
While fans may be upset to learn the couple isn’t heading down the aisle anytime soon, the blogger was quick to point out why it shouldn’t matter.
“…engagements on this show really don’t mean anything,” he wrote. “I don’t think they’ll make it because I don’t think for a second Matt is ready for a serious relationship, and never was.”
After weeks of teasing Rachael as Matt’s possible winner, his pick was confirmed by the spoiler blogger late last month. “Matt chose Rachael and is still with her,” he wrote at the time.
He went on to say that Rachael’s friends and family in her hometown in Georgia have long been buzzing about her winning “The Bachelor.” Matt also appears to have had a hard time keeping the lid on his finale pick.
Two weeks ago, fans of the show discovered he had a connection to Rachael post-show. The discovery came via his public Spotify account which showed he had been listening to his contestant’s playlist.
As for what else fans can expect from “The Bachelor” 2021 finale, it has been reported that newcomer Michelle Young will be Matt’s runner-up. He is said to dump her before the final rose ceremony. Find out who else makes it to Matt’s final four and the order of their elimination here.
The next new episode of “The Bachelor” airs Monday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
