‘Bachelor’ Star Chris Soules Deletes Instagram After Arrest; Victim’s Relatives Defend Him
“The Bachelor” alum Chris Soules is now in police custody after being involved in a fatal car crash in Iowa. However, shortly after his arrest, the reality star deleted his Instagram account.
Chris apparently deleted his Instagram account, but surprisingly, he is still keeping his Facebook and Twitter accounts active, People reported. He was apparently still active on Instagram prior to removing his page. Just recently, he even posted a photo of his truck on Instagram and captioned it, “This is not a promo for Chevy Trucks... just another day in #godscountry #farmlife #iowa #iowaviews.”
The Iowa State Patrol claimed that Chris left the scene after his pickup truck collided with a tractor near Aurora. The area is 15 miles south of his farm in Arlington. Both vehicles were driven into a ditch, and this resulted to the death of the tractor driver, who was identified as Kenneth Mosher, 66. Chris’ spokesperson revealed that the star was devastated after learning that Mosher had died following the collision.

Meanwhile, some of the victim’s relative have come to Chris’ defense, People reported. “For Chris, what happened was just a freak accident,” said Robert Roepke, whose daughter is married to Mosher’s son. “Chris comes from a good family and is still well-vested in farming. He’s got a great life ahead of him. This is a serious bump in the road and I don’t know about his [alleged] alcohol issue but I just know that this was a huge mistake.”
On Monday night, Chris reportedly fled the scene immediately after the deadly car accident, according to the police. The reality star was arrested on Tuesday morning at his residence, Entertainment Tonight reported.
His truck was reportedly found at his home the morning after the incident. However, when the police officers arrived at his place, he refused to leave the house until a search warrant was presented to him several hours later.
The reality star, who was also a contestant on “Dancing With the Stars,” has had at least 15 run-ins with the law in Iowa since 1998. Majority of his offenses are vehicle-related, including speeding and running stop signs. In 2006, he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DUI). He was fined $500 and served a year of probation.
