?The Bachelorette? 2012: Production Heads To London, Sean Speaks Out
The eighth season of The Bachelorette is in full-swing, and it looks like the show's star, single mom Emily Maynard, is going to show everyone her angry side on Monday night's episode.
Maynard and the contestants vying for her heart are heading out to London to start off the international leg of the journey. Preview photos of the trip hint at a makeshift Romeo and Juliet production, with one of the guys taking on the role of Juliet's nurse.
Sean Lowe revealed that he had his own private date with Maynard in the iconic city.
It was the first opportunity I had to spend the entire day with her, and I'm not ashamed to say it was one of the best days of my life, he said on a conference call, People reported. That was the day I knew I had really strong feelings for her and the first time I pictured myself being with her in the future.
Sounds great, but not everything goes so smoothly. A preview clip of the London episode showed that one of the guys referred to Maynard's 6-year-old daughter, Ricki, as baggage.
Lowe didn't reveal who said that, but he did reveal the one who alerted Maynard: fellow single parent Doug.
He knows what it's like to raise and protect a child and felt it was his place to step in and try to protect Emily, Lowe said, People reported. My hat's off to him.
Lowe can relax a little, as he is one of the favorites this season. He certainly scored a major stamp of approval from Maynard's friends in a previous episode, including one who requested that he take off his shirt and do push-ups (and then sat on him as he did them, saying it was a dream come true). That's what friends are for, apparently.
The Bachelorette is on tonight at 8 p.m. EST.
