‘The Bachelorette’ 2019 Spoilers: Who Is Haley Stevens? Meet Jed’s Ex

It appears at least one of Hannah Brown’s “The Bachelorette” contestants may have appeared on her season for the wrong reasons. As part of an exclusive with People Magazine, a woman named Haley Stevens has come forward to reveal that she was dating Season 15 contestant Jed Wyatt while he was filming the ABC series.

According to the magazine’s findings, Jed was dating Haley for four months before he met Hannah on “The Bachelorette.” Haley said Jed informed her he was going to compete on the dating show, but not to find love.

“He told me [early on] that he had applied. He said, ‘It’s probably not going to happen, but it’s a huge opportunity. I’m only doing this for my music.’ He only did it for his career,” Haley said. “He said he only wanted to be top five...to be a major player so that it would be beneficial.”

Haley added, “We spent the night together the night before he headed to LA. He told me [the show] was just an obstacle and we’d be stronger on the other side because of it.”

Coincidentally, during a recent episode of “The Bachelorette,” Jed opened up to Hannah about his original intentions for appearing on the show. During his first one-on-one with the 2019 lead, he admitted that he first saw the program as a stepping-stone for his career, but claimed it was now “beyond a show” for him and that his feelings for her were genuine.

After returning home to Nashville after filming for the series wrapped, Haley said she was “ghosted” by the reality star. When she confronted Jed last month, she claims he told her “‘I didn’t know what to say.’”

“I don’t believe he’s a terrible person, but it’s a terrible situation,” Haley told the magazine. “And part of me thinks I was the backup plan and he wanted me to be here in case it didn’t work out. I feel 100 percent betrayed.”

Viewers have had several episodes to get to know Jed, a 25-year-old professional singer-songwriter. But just who is Haley Stevens?

According to the outlet, Haley, like her ex, is also a musician based in Nashville. Her group's Spotify page includes their debut 2018 song, “Sweet Leah.” Sweet Leah describes their sound as “Rock and Roll with Southern Soul” on their dedicated Instagram page.

“Thankful every single day for the opportunity to chase my dreams and for every person that makes it possible. There’s no feeling like this,” Stevens captioned one personal Instagram picture of her performing in January.

Haley also appears to have participated in an online dating ad for the WillCalled app alongside Jed, as noted by notorious “Bachelor” spoiler blogger Reality Steve.

Hannah and Jed have yet to comment on the allegations put forth by his ex-girlfriend. “Bachelorette” fans will have to see how all of the drama plays out. New episodes of the series air Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
