'Bachelorette' Runner-Up Peter Kraus Joins 'Bachelor Winter Games,' Mike Fleiss Confirms
Peter Kraus is returning to "Bachelor" Nation.
Kraus was one of the "Bachelorette" alums that viewers believed had potential to star in the next season of "The Bachelor." Unfortunately, ABC gave the role to Arie Luyendyk Jr. This does not mean, however, that Kraus is done with the network because he is apparently getting another shot at love.
On Wednesday, Mike Fleiss confirmed on Twitter that Kraus will try to find love in another reality show, "The Bachelor: Winter Games." "Yes, Peter will be looking for love-- and going for the gold-- on #TheBachelor Winter Games!!!!" the producer and writer tweet.
The "Bachelor" spinoff is set to premiere in February 2018. It will bring the former "Bachelor" and "Bachelorettes" stars together to a luxury resort in Vermont where they will compete in winter-themed athletic games while trying to find love. It is basically "Bachelor Pad meets the Winter Olympics," E! News noted.
According to the publication, ABC has not yet commented on Kraus' participation in the upcoming "Bachelor" spinoff. However, Kraus took to Instagram to thank the network for giving him the opportunity to join the "Bachelor" nation.
"ABC, you saw something in me, but something held me back. You treated me with such love and kindness and showed me glimpses of a life I never once dreamed that I could have," Kraus wrote. "I will be forever humbled and grateful and will always look back at these last 6 months with an ear to ear smile, knowing that this has truly been a very special life indeed."
In related news, "Bachelorette" star Rachel Lindsay previously called Kraus manipulative. In fact, she prefers Alexy Bordyukov over Kraus as the next "Bachelor."
"I felt a little bit of manipulation there," Lindsay confessed regarding her relationship with Kraus in the reality show. "The lack of commitment, you telling me that you want this future with me, but you didn’t want to take the actions to have it... like, that’s what triggered those emotions in me. I felt like there was a lot of push and pull. I feel like he was giving me just enough to keep me and string me along, rather than being forthcoming with everything."
