‘The Bachelorette’ Season 11 Announcement Upsets Former Cast Members; Who Is On Team Kaitlyn?
“Bachelor” nation is already picking sides when it comes to the two new stars of “The Bachelorette” -- Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe. The shocking twist to have not one but two contestants was announced Monday night during the “After the Final Rose” special by host Chris Harrison. He revealed they were neck and neck for the position, so the producers decided to name both of them as the leads for Season 11. Based on Twitter reactions, not everyone is happy about the change.
It will mean Britt and Kaitlyn enter the competition with 25 guys, but instead of having two separate groups of contestants, the men will choose who they think would make a better wife. Although details on how the new season will work have not been released, many are speculating it will be similar to Season 6 of “The Bachelor,” when the women chose which bachelor -- Jay Overbye or Byron Velvick -- they wanted to pursue a relationship with. Jay ended up eliminated during a “Lady’s Choice Ceremony” in episode 1, and Byron continued for the rest of the season.
Check out how “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” alums reacted to the news of both Britt and Kaitlyn being named as the Season 11 stars of “The Bachelorette”:

This two bachelorette thing sucks for Kaitlyn. She was clearly the favorite.

Judging by the hundreds of tweets I'm seeing, no one likes this duel bachelorette idea. Also, @clmgiudici thinks it's disgusting.

THANK YOU KAITLYN! Not ideal #TheBachelorFinale

Ok. I'll speak. Rejection by 25 guys I would not wish on ANYONE...it makes me sad that someone I know will face this on tv. Bad enough by 1.

The more I think about it, I can't help but be upset about ABC choosing 2 #Bachelorettes. It's going to be so hurtful to both the girls.
