Amid reports that “The Bachelorette” Season 15 contestant Tyler Cameron will be Hannah’s runner-up, viewers have come out in droves on social media, promoting him to be the next “The Bachelor” lead. While nothing has been confirmed by ABC regarding casting, Tyler seems to be promoting someone other than himself for the role.

Following the premiere of ABC’s “Men Tell All” special on Monday night, Tyler took to Twitter to seemingly tout his love for his former co-star, Mike Johnson. “If you’re ever having a bad day, just look up [Mike Johnson] gifs,” he wrote. “They bring so much happiness.”

It’s not the caption that attracted the attention of most of his fans, though, it was the image he used to promote the tweet. Tyler’s post included a GIF that linked back to a Flare article titled “I'm Low-Key Glad Mike Got Cut From ‘The Bachelorette.’” The GIF itself was captioned “Mike Johnson needs to be the next Bachelor.”

While some of Tyler’s Twitter fans supported his opinion, others told him they were still holding out for him to be ABC’s “The Bachelor” in 2020.

“Not the next bachelor NO. !! YOU are the best bachelor,” one fan wrote. Another added, “We love mike but we need you as the next bachelor.”

“Dude!!! Don't promote him for bachelor. Self promote!!!!!!!!” one fan advised.

One viewer even suggested that Mike and Tyler become co-Bachelors, similar to how the network premiered Season 11 of “The Bachelorette” by having the contestants pick between leads Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson.

While Tyler may be on Team Mike, Reality Steve reports it is actually the Florida resident who may be in the running to be the next “Bachelor.” In June, the spoiler blogger named Tyler as a top contender for the role alongside contestant Peter Weber. Earlier this month, the rumors heated up when Tyler’s mom was allegedly overheard telling fans her son would be next to fill the role.

“The Bachelorette” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
