Demitra "Mimi" Roche, the star of the reality show "Bad Girls Club," died at the age of 34. The cause of death was not known.
The news of her death was confirmed by music executive Vince Valholla. Roche had joined music company Valholla Entertainment in 2011 and served as the vice president of A&R.
"I’m at a loss for words. Don’t know what to say. Mimi was kind to everyone she came across. She was big dreamer & was a part of our Valholla family. I’m heartbroken by the news of her passing. I’m thankful I got to know & work w/ her. My thoughts are with her family & loved ones," Valholla tweeted Wednesday, July 22.
In another tweet, Valholla said, "There’s probably not one person who would have something negative to say about her. We lost a beautiful soul."
Replying to a comment on the tweet, he added, "It was out the blue. We’re going to miss her."
A friend of Roche took to Facebook to pay her tribute and revealed the reality star had recently celebrated her birthday.
"Rest Easy baby girl Demitra Roche. I just wished you a happy birthday then the next day this is what I see. 2020 is def the year of appreciating your loved ones, hug them tight tell them you love them as life is clearly way to short. Some of you may know her from 'Bad Girls Club' but I knew the real her. Such a sweet soul and with radiant energy so full of life. Gone [too] soon," Ashley Colon wrote on Facebook.
Roche last post on Instagram was July 11. Following her death, several of her followers took to the comments section of the post to offer condolences.
"May god wraps his arms around you and keep you safe in heaven. gone too soon love you mimi," one person wrote.
"RIP gorgeous," wrote another.
