Banker Kills Porn Star, Hides Dismembered Remains While Convincing Family She's Alive

A banker in Italy killed a porn star and hid her dismembered remains in a freezer at his home for two months while convincing the woman's family that she was still alive, police said.

Davide Fontana, 43, continued responding to the messages Carol Maltesi, 26, received on her phone, and kept paying her rent to avoid suspicion.

Maltesi, an Italian-Dutch performer known by her stage name Charlotte Angie, was killed in January but was reported missing only in mid-March when she failed to turn up at a lap dancing club, New York Post reported.

When Fontana, a friend and neighbor of the deceased, realized the cops were looking for her, he reportedly stuffed Maltesi's frozen remains into multiple garbage bags and threw them off a mountain road in the Brescia province of Italy.

The adult movie actress' remains were recovered last week, but investigators initially could not identify the body as the victim's face was burned. However, cops found 11 tattoos on the body parts and released a detailed description of them in an attempt to trace the victim.

Maltesi's friends and fans soon began identifying the tattoos, which were popular through her x-rated videos on OnlyFans. When they contacted Maltesi, Fontana allegedly responded through Maltesi's phone saying: "Yes, they look like mine. But luckily I’m OK," The Week reported.

However, a local journalist Andrea Tortelli felt suspicious and alerted the police when the text messages from Maltesi went silent after Tortelli asked for a voice message to confirm her identity.

When the police announced the victim's name as Maltesi, Fontana initially said he knew her but maintained that he was not involved in her disappearance and murder.

The investigators, however, executed a search at Fontana's house and found the freezer that was used for hiding Maltesi's body. They also found DNA evidence and garbage bags similar to the ones used to dispose of the remains.

Fontana, who was arrested Tuesday, admitted to the police that he "accidentally" killed Maltesi during consensual sex and hid her dismembered body. He faces multiple charges including aggravated first-degree homicide, dismemberment and concealing a corpse.
