Barcelona is reportedly receiving offers for their new signing tagged as the next Lionel Messi.
One of the hottest rising stars in soccer today is Portuguese sensation Francisco Trincao. The 20-year-old first displayed his goal scoring abilities in the European Under-19 Championship in 2018. This did not go unnoticed as Trincao managed to get La Liga giants Barcelona reaching out. The Catalan club signed Trincao but has not presented him yet. However, recent reports claim that there are clubs that are already willing to bid for Barca’s next Messi.
According to Sport (via Besoccer.com), Barcelona has received offers for Trincao, the club’s new signing who is not only being compared to Messi but even to Cristiano Ronaldo as well. It has been said that as early as now, some teams want the magnificent youngster out on loan. However, Barcelona’s initial plan for Trincao is for him to remain in the first team and carry out the pre-season with them.
In January, the Catalan giants announced that they had signed the Braga winger as a surprise signing for €31 million ($33.7 million). Since then, Trincao has been touted as Messi’s successor in Barcelona. Fortunately, Trincao has also dreamed of learning from the Barcelona captain himself as well.
In a recent live chat with FC Barcelona YouTube channel (via fcbarcelona.com), Trincao revealed his true feelings about finally getting the chance to play for “the best club and with the best players in the world.”
“I am really looking forward to wearing the shirt of the best club in the world and sharing a dressing room with the best players in the world. I want to learn from Leo Messi, he is one of my heroes,” Trincao said.
The former Braga winger also revealed how he would contribute to the team. According to Trincao, aside from his skill, his “left foot and his youth” will be his greatest contribution to the team.
“At Barça I hope to bring my skill, my left foot and my youth. I think the fans will enjoy it with me (laughs). I work hard and I am strong mentally, I try to score and create and I like taking players on. Also, I always try to help the team,” Trincao said.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are currently linked to an array of possible transfer moves. One of them is Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico, who has been reportedly eager to reunite with his national side teammate Messi.
