Barcelona received two goals from Lionel Messi, and one from Xavi Hernandez, to earn an easy victory over struggling Racing Santander, 3-0, at Camp Nou.

The first goal from Messi was particularly special. The clever Argentine crossed the ball over from his left foot to his right, and then past goalkeeper Tono, in the 11th minute.

In the 27th minute, it was Xavi who scored off a header from a left-footed cross by Pedro. It was suspect defending to the say the least by Racing, who struggled to break up many Barcelona passes throughout the match.

The third goal didn't come until the 68th minute when Andres Iniesta's shot hit the far post, and ricocheted to Messi, who easily one-touched the ball in to earn his 10th La Liga goal of the season.

Barcelona was more dominant than usual with ball possession, as Pep Guardiola's squad held the ball for 83 percent of the match. The Catalans took 19 shots in the game, with six on goal, while the sluggish Racing attack had only three shots, with two on goal.

Racing are still winless on the season and dropped to second-to-last in the standings, ahead of only Sporting. Barcelona remain tied for first place with Levante.

Guardiola apparently made sure his club didn't look past Racing, as Barcelona faces Viktoria Plzen in Champions League group play on Wednesday at Camp Nou.
